KTM 1290 Super Adventure S (2024)

KTM North America has announced that the 1290 Super Adventure series is making a comeback for 2024. Despite the two models not receiving any mechanical updates for the upcoming year, they are presented with new color options and an updated design

Design and Color Schemes:

• The 2024 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S comes predominantly in gray with pops of orange and alternatively in a new white color scheme with bold orange and blue graphics.

Engine:

• Powered by the reliable, liquid-cooled, 1,301cc LC8 V-twin engine. With a bore and stroke of 108mm by 71mm, it produces up to 118 kilowatts (about 158.2 horsepower). Paired with a six-speed gearbox and equipped with a PASC slipper clutch.

Chassis:

• Utilizes a powder-coated, chrome-moly tubular space frame. It features a 48mm upside-down WP SAT front fork and a WP SAT rear shock absorber, both equipped with semi-active technology. Suspension settings can be adjusted using the TFT display.

Wheels and Tires:

The Super Adventure S is equipped with alloy wheels and Mitas Terra Force R tires specifically developed for this model.

Seats and Handlebars:

• It has separate seats for the rider and passenger. The rider's seat is adjustable from 33.4 inches (849mm) to 34.2 inches (869mm). The motorcycle also features wide, adjustable, tapered aluminum handlebars and backlit switches.

Electronics and Rider Aids:

• The motorcycle features a scratch-resistant seven-inch TFT display with a six-way switch cube on the handlebars for easy navigation. Bluetooth connectivity to your smartphone is standard via the KTMconnect app. A USB phone pocket is included for on-the-go phone charging. Standard equipment includes Bosch motorcycle stability control, lean-sensitive cornering ABS, specialized off-road ABS, tire pressure monitoring system, and self-canceling turn signals. Off-road ride mode, off-road traction control, and cruise control are also standard.
