Aprilia RS 457 - Brand New A2-Class Sport Bike
Aprilia unveiled its new RS 457 sports bike during the San Marino MotoGP race. This model offers a new option for the A2 license class (max 35 kW) and is specially designed for athletes and racing enthusiasts.
The RS 457 is optimized for weight, with a weight of 175 kg in ready-to-ride condition (dry weight 159 kg), meeting the A2 class requirements for power-to-weight ratio. The engine is a two-cylinder inline engine with two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder.
The bike features an aluminum frame, and the engine functions as part of the load-bearing structure. Suspension consists of a 41 mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The tires are properly sized, and the braking system has ABS supermoto setting.
The engine has three riding modes and an anti-slip system. The dashboard is a five-inch TFT color display, and the handlebar controls are illuminated. The appearance and color scheme follow the lines of the larger RS 660 model.
The RS 457 is expected to hit the market in spring 2024.
